My question is about the role of the medical biller in this program, and anything that can be shared regarding this program.
Response:
For our visitors The Quality Payment Program is a Medicare modernization initiative that encourages providers to adopt technology to improve patient care.
There is up to a 5% payment incentive based on 2017 provider data and how the practice used technology in 2017. If a provider does not participate, there is a 4% payment reduction.
These incentive payments increase or decrease to +/-9 by 2022.
