Dear Gina,
I am planning to start my own practice in billing and coding. This website helped me a lot in understanding the process.
My question is if i am providing the whole process as my services, what is the time frame to get insurance claim from the company and what is the time frame to get money from doctor.
If u answer my questions it will help me a lot in creating my business plan.
Thanking u with regards.
Krunal
Response:Dear Krunal,
Typically if an insurance claim is filed electronically, it get's paid within two weeks or less. If it's filed by paper claim, it can take longer - possibly up to one month.
As far as getting paid from the client or provider, it's typically once a month unless you work out a different payment arrangement with the provider.
Hope this answers your question.
Thanks,
