I started working for this company in October, and they have always used the IVANS Now system for Medicare billing. It is a 30 yr old DOS program, but is free.
I have never used this program before and none of my coworkers have. The previous employee left before I started in her position. I have no one to train me, the manual that I printed from CMS is 295 pages long!
I’ve always billed using HCFA 1500, but now I’m using the UB-04 for an outpatient facility. Medicare has not been billed here since September, and I really need to try and get it going.
I tried to send a few claims in the Ivans system, but to no avail, there were numerous errors. Does anyone have and experience with this ancient system? Thanks!

We sympathize with your dilemma and will post on our site in hopes that one of our visitors can offer some help or advice. I once took on a client that had an old DOS based billing system and had similar difficulties getting claims submitted.
