Hello! I love your website. It is very informative. I appreciate your knowledge and experience in how you started in this field. I desire to work from home.

I am having the hardest time in setting up a webpage. My dilemma is the contents of a webpage and what is needed. Fear my info will be too wordy or not enough words. I also would like to do a trifold brochure for my small business but clueless as to what to put in it. Did you ever go through this? Please advise. Thanks

Hi Lisa,

Sorry to take so long to respond to your question. Thanks so much for visiting our site.

Yes we also struggled with what to say in our marketing material.

The best advice I could suggest is address the problems and concerns a potential client has. I would suggest having some information about yourself – sort of a mini-resume – that highlights your credentials, experience, results, etc. Also I would suggest the benefits of using your service – like they don’t have to worry about hiring and training someone, that billing is your specialty and that’s all you do, etc.

When considering a billing service, a potential client wants to be assured that whoever would be handling their account is knowledgeable in billing and knows how to get insurance claims paid. Most of the doctors I meet with are frustrated with the condition of their accounts. They want to know if I know what I’m doing, and how I’m going to improve their income.

If they are considering your service than they probably already have a lot of unpaid claims. That’s another good way to get potential clients is by working on their accounts receivables.

When you make flyers and build your website, I would also suggest placing a good picture of yourself on both. When I market our billing service, one thing people seem to always remember is my face.

For a flyer I would suggest not getting too wordy since most people who view it will only look at it for a short time. I would suggest making it look professional and clearly sell the benefits of your service – sort of an elevator sales pitch. If you are looking for good examples I would suggest searching for “example brochure templates” on Google – and then select “images” at the top of the page. VistaPrint also has some nice templates.

The best place to get “wordy” would be on your website. That’s a good place to get into details. It’s also a great place to have articles on issues related to billing like HIPAA privacy and security, recent Medicare changes, top reasons claims get denied – those kinds of topics that demonstrate your knowledge and expertise.

If you are still looking for a good cheap professional looking website, I would suggest Wix.com. My husband just built a nice site for a friends weight loss clinic. It looks nice and didn’t take too long – and it only costs about $16 a month.

Hope this helps answer your question and I didn’t ramble too much.

Thanks!
Gina
