Certification for Medical Billing or Coding Services Business
by Bala Shanmugam
Hi - Can someone please let me know if certification necessary for business. If so can you please recommend?
Thanks for your question. I'm sure everyone has a different experience or perspective on certification with regards to the medical billing services business. We welcome visitor comments and recommendations - just click on the "click here to post comments" link below.
From our experience certification is not a necessity but it does give you credentials and shows your commitment to being a professional in the field.
Also if you want to get into coding, we would recommend certification. AAPC is probably the most recognized for medical coding certification. They also offer certification in billing now - Certified Professional Biller.
