For those not familiar with the software, MyClients Plus is a web based medical billing and practice management software. It's focused on behavioral specialties (Psychiatrists Psychologists), marriage and family therapists, occupational, speech, physical and other healthcare specialties.

Having billed for a mental health provider before, having a software customized for these type specialties is attractive. Many times behavioral specialties have limitations imposed by the insurer on the number of visits, pre-approvals, referrals, etc.

The pricing of My Clients Plus is what could be classified as cheap medical billing software - $19.95 a month with no limitations to number of clients or patients on your account and no set-up fees. An additional $10 allows unlimited electronic claim submissions. They also offer scheduling and credit card processing through a partner service provider but I believe its at additional cost.

Their Clearinghouse partner is Office Ally which has a great reputation. They are also HIPAA compliant. Another important feature is if you decide to leave their service, you can get a free CVS file format download of your data for import into another billing system.

Their Videoconferencing Works Great!

I've used My Clients Plus for about five years and can't say enough good things about them...especially their customer service. They added HIPAA-compliant videoconferencing in early January, and I just love it!

I never really felt comfortable with the notion of using Skype or Facetime for therapy. Though many of my colleagues use them, I worried about the HIPAA part of it, plus it was always a distraction to make sure my client has one of those and is set up in my approved list prior to our session.

The videoconferencing in My Clients Plus is just an option on a calendar entry. My client can just log in to their portal account when their session is scheduled and click "videoconference". It's really, really simple and very useful in my practice.

Easy to use

The Best

I've been a customer for about 4 years. I love being able to call customer service any time I need them and having someone help me. I don't call often, but some EMRs don't even offer phone support, and these people are top notch!

The software is easy to use. They recently added a new things where I can tag my clients with what ever words I want, and then use the tags to see the money part of my practice for just those tagged clients. It helps tracking referrals, types of insurance, groups and that kind of thing.

Five stars is just not enough

I just can't say enough how much I like this company. Their software is very easy to use, flexible and reliable.

I can always reach customer service, and they seem to enjoy helping me, always willing to take whatever time is needed to get to the other side.

During the ICD-10 conversion, they even called me on the phone when they noticed I had some rejected claims for a peculiar reason. It was easy to fix it, resubmit and then get paid.

Like I said, I can't say enough good things about this company.

Super simple, great service

As a non tech savvy therapist, I am so excited I found my cliets plus. I've used it for 4 years now. It's very intuitive and easy to use with point and click actions. Easy peasy. We had no troule connecting it for electronic payments.

I've used the notes portion minimally, but there are many options.

They are constantly offering new features which make it more useful. There is also a calendar integration if you choose to use it.

They have great video tutorials that show you step by step how to do tasks. I've had several occasions to contact then for support and have had prompt and helpful responses.

It's safe to say I LOVE my clients plus and I recommend it to anyone who asks.

New Client Signup is a breeze

I've been using My Clients Plus for several years and always look forward to the new features that this company adds to the software every few months.

They recently upgraded their client portal and it has helped me with my new client process so much that I had to write about it.

New clients can now click a button on my website and get their own account where they can schedule an appointment with me, update their own demographic information and even complete intake paperwork online. The system also sends them an email with my own HIPAA security statement, billing practices and all the normal new-client paperwork.

The intake form the client completes online is one that I selected from a library of templates. After the client completed the form, it's saved as a part of the client record.

What it has saved me is all the paper form processing, entering all the client demographics and insurance information and wasting time during the first session completing the intake form. Now, when the appointment comes up, it's all done.

It sounds simple, but it has really been a huge timesaver for me. Several of my new clients have told me they really appreciated being able to do everything online at home.

I chose to use My Clients Plus based on rave reviews from several of my colleagues as I was opening my private practice. The software is very well designed and maintained. It truly covers 100% of the functionality I need to manage my practice. It's easy to use and has great customer service. I would highly recommend My Clients Plus to anyone who is looking for a billing software.

Best workflow tool I've seen

I'm part of a group practice who has a staff person who does all our billing. Communication of follow-up items among the team has always been a challenge.

I must say that the workflow tool (My Clients Plus calls it the "To-Do tool") they recently launched is one of the simplest to use and most functional of any I've seen.

Most practice management software only allows follow-up items when a client name is provided. The MCP product let's us enter anything for follow-up (even personal items) and we can choose the various labels we want to add and then sort by those items any time.

Anyway, it's now where I put ALL of my to-do items whether they're client-related or not.

Their therapy notes are top notch!

I've been in private practice for a couple of years, but had yet to find software that I really like. I put out a question on one of the list services to get some recommendations, and several people responded that my clients plus was their best choice because of their great customer service.

I signed up for a free trial and took at a look at their therapy notes library because that's very important to me. When I saw one of their templates, the Biopsychsocial History template, I knew this was no ordinary practice management software. The therapy note template was beautiful. In fact, I'd never really seen anything like it that I could use on my iPad during session.

I've switched over and am really glad I did!

The most gorgeous iPad app ever!

Wow! The people at My Clients Plus have done it again. Today they announced a new iPhone and iPad app that works with the calendar in My Clients Plus, and adds a bunch of new stuff. It's called Jituzu, and is offered by their sister company with the same name.

I downloaded the app and it displays my clients and calendar beautifully. It's a nice touch that I can customize my home screen with my picture, or change it daily with whatever inspires me.

I have one of my regular clients that also downloaded the app, and she can send me electronic messages, do her own scheduling, see her upcoming and past appointments. It's pretty much everything she needs to do.

I called customer service to ask them if they are going to have an Android version (because not all of my clients have iPhones), and they said it's coming soon after a little more testing. Also, they said they are working on a Windows phone version.

I am really, really excited about this! I don't any other company that has such a beautiful iPad app and one that my clients can also use. It's a lot easier using the app than logging on to the web site.

Really love seeing the whole 5010 record

I hate trying to figure out why insurance companies reject claims. Their messages are usually cryptic and difficult to figure out what the problem really is. That's why I was ecstatic to see that My Clients Plus now includes the entire electronic 5010 record in the client account activity.

Once I figured out how to read 5010 (the electronic way claims are sent), I can click on the claim detail and go right to loop or segment that the insurance company refers to. I can see exactly what insurance received and then fix it. When I run it again, I can instantly see whether the item was fixed.

Once I got the hang of reading 5010, it has made my life so much easier and my claims rejection so much less. Very happy!

Recent software upgrade is awesome!

My Clients Plus did a major software upgrade recently and I can't tell you how thrilled I am about it. There's so many going on with DSM and ICD coding that will take effect later this year that now I don't have to worry about whether I'll be ready.

Also, a lot of the other software in the market doesn't support some of the stuff I really need to have to get paid. Things like electronic secondary billing, electronic billing for fee-for-service, automatic ERA notification and posting really make my life easier.

Another thing that I REALLY like is how easy they made resubmitting a claim to insurance. Insurance companies are always looking for a way to reject claims, so resubmitting is a big deal. All I have to do with the new software, is correct the fields that are wrong, and click the resubmit button. It keeps a history of what was submitted and when.

I'm really, really pleased!

Android and iPad app

i know someone at my clients plus who works on their software team and he told me that they are very close to releasing a native iPhone/iPad app with an Android version close behind.

Said they've been working on it over a year because they've essentially re-written all the user interface. The same version can be used by clients to schedule appointments, remind them, and securely email without using real email (not HIPAA-compliant).

I don't know if it does voice dictation, but I gotta think that if voice is available in the phone that they should be able to get it into their app.

Android App PLEASE

Yes lets all emaiil my clients plus and beg for an android app. Imagine clicking a coule of times during a session, then voice dictating a few lines between sessions and PROGRESS NOTES ARE DONE!!!!

My IT guys them 2 thumbs up!

I don't know much about this web stuff except whether I like it or not. I know I like My Clients Plus because it's easy to use, but I asked my IT guy to set up a time to talk with one of the My Clients Plus technical people to find out about whether they're reliable.

My guy gives them a two-thumbs up because he says they monitor everything. They check whether their site is working from different parts of the country every 15 minutes (because Internet connections go down in different parts of the country). They also run their own data centers with several backups.

My tech guy was pretty excited when they told him they use "relic" software (or something like that) to make sure all their machines are working all the time.

Anyway, I don't really care about this stuff, but it's important to know that they're reliable. I'm convinced, plus I've never had any downtime with them.

Love the new credit card upgrade!

They recently upgraded their credit card service with the partner, Instamed, and I must say, i'm really pleased with the amount of money i'm saving in credit card fees. They key is to be able to use a card swipe device with their web software.

Most of the other practice management systems I've looked at don't have the ability to actually swipe a credit card, they only allow you to enter the card digits. Swiping the card saves money because the rates are lower.

With the new upgrade, I can swipe the cards of my clients one time and it saves the information so that i can reuse it any time in the future without having to swipe again. Pretty slick. When Instamed upgraded us to the new service we had to create new payment profiles for our clients, but the cost savings is well worth it.

P.S. I saw someone had said they "lost" credit card data, but that wasn't the case with me. I just had to create new client payment profiles in order to take advantage of lower rates. No big deal. Anyway, I'm a happy customer. Highly recommend.

Used to be great, what happened??

Until a week ago - about Sept. 3 or 4 - I would have said 5 stars, great, we love it. In the last week their credit card system has lost all our data, then its become unable to run charges directly from the session entry screen (necessitating more time consuming means) and their customer service, - heretofore superb - has become erratic (slow response, and some of their people act indifferent to our concerns)

So for the moment , 3 stars, and let's hope they can fix whatever is wrong . Are other users having recent problems with this system??

Progress notes with iPad are exceptional

I've had very good experience using the My Clients Plus progress and intake notes with my iPad. It's formatted very nicely for tablets, is secure even when its used over wireless, and uses many of those nice buttons, sliders and clickable boxes that we all love when using a touch screen.

I had some paper note templates that I've used for years and did not look forward to trying a new format. So, I emailed them my notes templates and asked if they could add these to their library. I was amazed that within about 3 days they were added with all the clickable checkboxes and everything!

I'd use My Clients Plus just for the notes templates...

I really like their calendar

I started using the text appointment reminders they have, and had many of clients tell me how much they liked getting them.

In a couple of cases, I wrote down a client's appointment wrong. When they got a reminder for the date & time that was not what they remembered, they were able to call me in advance and straighten it out. If they hadn't, I probably would not have been in the office when my clients arrived.

What I really like is that when my clients reply to their reminder, it updates my calendar with their response, including any notes that they might add to their reply. If someone can't make it, it lets me know right away.

I don't have any no-shows anymore. Just one no-show a month more than pays for the service, so i am really pleased with how it has helped me.

My clients Plus is a great software to use for billing and has served me very well over these last 3 months. I also made a Jituzu account and noticed that if you use both the Jituzu and the MyClientsplus you get the best use of them both. They group that made them both are working on adding more features. So it will be interesting what they release next for them both. Here's hoping the new feature will be helpful. I would definitely recommend both MyClientsPlus and jituzu together.

I closed my practice earlier this year after having been a My Clients Plus customer for several years. You always kind of wonder how you get back electronic records when you leave an online service like this, but I must say that I was really, really pleased with how My Clients Plus took care of me.

They gave me an encrypted file of all my billing data that I could read with excel or almost any other program, but what I REALLY liked was how they handled my client session notes.

They gave me a file of all my client session notes that were formatted perfectly, just like they appear inside their site. All I have to do is click on the client name and the notes for that client show up in my browser. I can print them if I ever need to, but I can also just keep everything on a CD locked away in my things.

They really thought through how the electronic thing would work and made sure my records keeping requirements would be fully met. Love My Clients Plus!

These guys get it!

I'm a current MCP customer and I also use their online calendar feature from another website they operate called Jituzu. I really do love everything about My Clients Plus, but I would have preferred that the calendar was actually a part of My Clients Plus and not a separate login.

They just announced to their customers that next week everything will be integrated inside MCP. So, I can get all my billing, calendar, appointment reminders, credit card account and website in one integrated package. They also allow me the option of having my clients schedule their own appointments from my website. I haven't done that yet, but plan to start with a few of my long-time clients.

Anyway, I'm really pleased with it. 5 stars!

Client session notes are the best I've ever seen

It seems like every time I go to a seminar, someone tells me something new about what we're supposed to have in our session notes. That made me go looking around, and I found My Clients Plus!

They have a library of notes templates that other providers around the country have suggested (I think it's something like 35 templates). I can pick the two or three I want to use in my practice.

There's everything from general SOAP and more advanced initial eval notes than I'd ever used (I'm an LMFT). When I called their customer service, they told me they're also working on a full set of notes for psychiatrists that include the medical component. They were completely open to adding new templates as the need arises, so I feel comfortable that when notes requirements change again in 2014 that they'll be ahead of anyone else.

So Far Disappointed

We have been using the service for three months.

One problem. This services does not show payments made by the client.

Most statements and invoices have:
1. Previous Balance
2. Charges
3. Payments made
4. New balance

Payments made are somehow deducted with out showing the client any data of payment made that would match their records.

Hoping we don't understand and can get it fixed but for now my clients are asking why payments made are not reflected in the statement.

I give My Clients Plus five stars as one of the best companies to work with. I really don't like to do billing, and I wouldn't describe myself as a computer person.

They spent a lot of time on the phone with me during the first couple of weeks because I just didn't understand how to do medical billing. Now, I feel very comfortable doing it all by myself and I know that if I run across something I don't know, I can give them a call and they'll get me going.

I really, really enjoy working with My Clients Plus!!

My Clients Plus is one of the best companies I've ever worked with. They have that personal touch where they actually answer their phones, listen to what we need, and then go to work to make it happen. I hope that they never get so big that they lose touch with their customers.

MCP is the best!-Super easy!

I love MCP. I was introduced to a psychiatrist that was in desperate need of help of getting caught up on old,delinquent claims, etc. He used MCP and showed me how to bill clients,insurance, etc using this program. It was very easy to learn and very convenient because you can log on from anywhere! Needless to say I have recently started my own medical billing company in Ellenwood Ga. And will be using myclientsplus as my primary software program for psychiatrists and other healthcare specialists! I'm excited!

Charting Templates are the Best!

My Clients Plus launched some new charting/progress notes software a few months ago. They initially had something like 18 commonly used templates available for us. I wanted something a little different for my practice and give them a mocked-up version of what I was looking for. I couldn't believe it, but they added it to their templates library in about 3 days. Wow!

This isn't just a text document, it uses check boxes, editable blocks of text with spell checking, fonts and so forth.

Anyway, I'm one happy customer!

PROGRESS NOTES ARE THE BEST

The recent upgrade to the progresss notes feature in My Clients Plus is the best in the industry, IMO. They have about 20 different form templates you can choose from and they'll add more just by giving them an example of what you need.

The notes work great from my iPad, making it very easy to take notes during or after a session. I love it!

New Progress Notes upgrade is really nice

They used did a complete overhaul of their progress notes and I find that it really works well in my practice. They give us a library of forms and templates from which we can choose the ones we want to use in our practice. Adding our own title and name for the forms is really helpful, and I only use three of the ones they provide.

It makes it very easy to use my iPad during my client sessions to just check the various boxes and add a little text, or enter notes after the fact.

It works very well for me. Simple & easy.

GREAT PROGRAM! GREAT SERVICE!

I have been doing the billing for my wife (an LCSW-C with a individual private practice) for 13 years.
After finally having enough of the terrible service from Therapist Helper, we switched to MCP
4 years ago. What a difference! They were great about answering a bunch of questions during the transition. I had to contact them about something a few weeks ago, and they were just as prompt and professional as before.

Love My Clients Plus!

Started my own group practice in early 2011, and choosing MCP was one of the best decisions I've made! It's easy to use, efficient and I love that I can access it from anywhere. Maintains my client database, billing records and generates stat reports for my practice as a whole or by practitioner. Don't know what I would do without it!

This software saved me. I am a one person practice and the billing end of things was becoming nightmare. MCP has proven to be an excellent tool and VERY affordable. I just couldn't afford all those high priced programs. Plus they had way more features than I needed; very confusing to learn. MCP was perfect; very easy to figure out and great customer service. I love the reports too. Thank you!!!!!!!

Lost without My Clients Plus

Love this program. Easy to use, cost effective, and great customer service. I would be lost without them. I love that I can access my account from anywhere, especially my ipad. I also love to use Healthconnx with My Clients Plus to schedule my client appointments and send them appointment reminders. My clients really appreciate this. I just added the new client portal feature so my clients can schedule their own appointments online. This is a real time saver for me!

MyClientsPlus is a lifesaver! I'm so glad I found this site and recommend it to everyone I know. The site is very easy to use, and if you ever do run into something you need help with (not likely that you would, though) the customer service is superb and FREE! Great for multiple provider practices (such as some of my friends are part of), or individual practices (such as myself) as well. There is nothing to download, no hidden fees, and you can access it practically anywhere, home, office, I even pull it up on my smartphone. I love this service!

The program is more cost effective the more people you put on it. Remittance advice is awesome. Only two companies participate in Illinois...bcbc and aetna. I hope all eventually do because it is a great timesaver. I also tell tge developer every chance I get to create an android app. Imagine dictatiing progress notes with any smartphone. (Any apple phone is a dumbphone...do what I allow you to do and pay through the nose for it).

Very good customer service

I love My Clients Plus. I don't often need it, but I can always call and get help when I need it. Unlike many other services I've tried, My Clients Plus doesn't charge anything extra for customer service. I guess they can do that because I very rarely even need to call.

Best in the business.

I went through three billing services until I found Myclientsplus. It is easy to complete the information on the spot with my ipad. Only issues are my own when I do not get prior information. So far I recommend this to anyone looking to save time and money.
